Memories of Barbados.

Here is a humorous story of an outrageous and balmy man who had a great spirit of adventure and an outlandish sense of fun.  Rex Wotton ran the West Coast Watersports shop at Coral Reef hotel, just up the beach from Settlers Beach. The center took hotel guest diving and on sailing excursions along the coast. He was an expert seafarer trained by the Royal Merchant Navy in all matters of navigation, sailing, diving, explosives, and marine work. Rex was among the most captivating Rogues in Paradise. He had an amazing sense of fun and used it to win over every situation. Rex was independent at an early age and often took off for days at a time, camping by Joes' river . He built campfires from coconut husk and twigs and cooked his catch with breadfruit, wild okras, plantain, and edible vines. He ate mangoes, and local berries like fat pork, and sea grapes, that grow along the beach. Rex was individualistic at an early age he often took-off for days at a time to camp along the banks...
